Mola Setti + Grid

Being in the studio is not really where I prefer to be but this year I’m aiming to do more studio stuff. Anyway, on to the important stuff. Mola Setti + Honeycomb Grid. I opted for the 15 degree grid, nice and tight.

Being such a big dish already the spread of light was great already so putting on a 15 degree grid really brought it back in really tight. I enjoyed using the grid, the light was better than what I thought it would be. Such a large gridded source it gave good coverage for 3/4 of the body around 4 foot from the face, high camera right.

For this shoot I used 2 lights, one gridded mola setti and a gridded standard elinchrom reflector as rim. The grid is attached to the Setti via 4 velcro strips. I had to use some tarzan grip to glue the velcro on to the Setti, nothing special and seems to work well enough.
